Since losing my husband in 1996, I have taken several “Granny Trips” with
several grandchildren at a time. The trips have all been fun and exciting.
We were able to get to know each other through the experience of living
together for a few days.
This year, I decided to attempt a CAMP here at my house. Other
grandparent camps that I’d heard about had two grandparents, so I wasn’t
so sure I would be able to do it alone. I prepared with a lot of “loose”
planning and prayer. By “loose” planning, I mean having a plan, but not
holding too tight to that plan.
I decided to have two camps……..one for several girls and one for several
boys. I made out the schedule with some of the times in place, but
allowed the kids to decide the bedtime (letting them know they had to get
up at 7:00 a.m. After all, we were at CAMP & whenever I went to camp as a
young person, there was a certain wake up time.)

P.S. I made the following list to help organize with the camps.
